His story
On December 28, 2014, my Uncle Paul Moore passed away from a brain tumor. He was on bed rest for about four months. He was about 53 years old when he died. His wife, and my aunt, Cheryl Moore, has done a tribute to him when she participated in the ALS ice bucket challenge. My cousin shaved her head completely bald in honor of my uncle. In September, 2011, he started the crazy-canadian woodworker show and that became his title. He was also head of his own company, Stockroom Supply, which is still running today. Run by my Aunt Cheryl, the buisness has been going good. My cousin, Ethan Moore, became the face for stockroom supply. I had to go through months of seeing him suffer and it killed me inside. I was in Barrie when I got the news that the crazy canadian woodworker passed away, a part of me left at that point. I don't think that part of my heart will ever come back. He was the funniest uncle I had, and I really wish I had gotten to know him better. He was a Grandpa to grandsons Holden and Axton, and Zach and Simon. It hurt me so much when Axton saw Uncle paul at the funeral and then spoke the words "I don't like him dead," It was so so sad. Even now when I hear or see anything about cancer, my heart breaks all over again. He was a good man who cared about everyone, no matter how tough he might have seemed on the outside. He taught me that being different is a good thing. He sort of stood out in our family. He was the "redneck" of the clan. Uncle Paul will be forever missed. Rest in Peace, Crazy Canadian Woodworker. Eh?
